Will Hugh’s chicken cure us all?

With the amount of don’t-eat-that-eat-this contradictory advice going on in the country at the moment it’s not surprising that some of those featured in the final episode of Hugh’s Chicken Run last night feel faintly hectored and patronised by the Chicken Out campaign.
All power to the programme makers for including these dissenting voices from the efforts to shock the drinkers of a small village into going free-range.
But it left me still wanting an answer the one of life’s fundamental questions.
Does the virtuous act of eating an organic, free-range chicken kebab counter the social ills of binge-drinking?
